Website Terms

Terms of Service for website design, hosting and care · Version 1.6 · effective 28 October 2026

These terms are between Milk First Studio Ltd, trading as Milk First (company number 17506516, registered in England and Wales, registered office: 27 Flay Field, Tithebarn, Exeter, England, EX1 3YA) (“Milk First“, “we“, “us“, “our“) and the business named in your Order Confirmation (“you“, “your“).

We’ve written them in plain English. If anything is unclear, ask us before you sign up: hello@milkfirst.co.uk.

The short version

  • Our services are for businesses only: sole traders, partnerships and companies.
  • We build, host and look after your website for a monthly fee. You send us your details and photos (and, on Start, your text); we do the rest.
  • Monthly fees are paid in advance, by Direct Debit or card. On Start and Standard you can also pay yearly and get one month free. One-off work is paid before we start. Milk First Studio Ltd is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
  • The minimum term is 12 months; after that, it’s month to month with 30 days’ notice. On Start and Standard you can skip the minimum term for a £199 setup fee.
  • If you leave early, you pay the rest of the minimum term — but never more than 3 months’ fees.
  • Your price is fixed for the first 12 months. After that, it goes up at most once a year and never by more than inflation (CPI).
  • Your plan includes monthly edit time. Work outside it is only done once you’ve agreed the price. Fixing our own mistakes is always free.
  • Your domain is registered in your name. When you leave, you get a full copy of your website and your domain, free.
  • If an invoice is unpaid, we send a reminder after 7 days and a warning after 14; after 30 days we may suspend the website.
  • We look after your visitors’ personal data under UK GDPR, as your processor.
  • Our liability is limited to the fees you’ve paid us in the last 12 months.

This is a summary. If anything here differs from the full terms below, the full terms apply.

1. Key terms

  • Agreement — these Terms of Service together with your Order Confirmation. If they conflict, the Order Confirmation wins.
  • Order Confirmation — the document or email we send you setting out your Plan, fees, Minimum Term and Start Date (template in Schedule 3).
  • Plan — Start, Standard or Pro, as described in Schedule 1.
  • Services — everything we provide under your Plan and any Extras you order.
  • Extras — additional services listed in Schedule 1 or quoted separately.
  • Website — the website we build and run for you under the Agreement.
  • Your Content — anything you give us for the Website: text, photos, logos, reviews, accreditations and details of your business.
  • Start Date — the date your subscription starts, shown in your Order Confirmation.
  • Minimum Term — the minimum period you agree to stay subscribed, counted from the Start Date: 12 months, or none on the No Minimum Term option.
  • Design Fee — the one-off fee for the individual design on Pro.
  • Working Day — Monday to Friday, except bank holidays in England. Working Hours — 9:00 to 17:00 UK time on a Working Day.

2. Business customers only

2.1 Our Services are for businesses. By accepting the Agreement, you confirm you’re acting for the purposes of your trade, business or profession, and not as a consumer.

2.2 The person accepting the Agreement confirms they’re authorised to do so on behalf of the business.

2.3 Before we start, you’ll give us details that show you’re a business: your company number if you’re a company; otherwise your trading name, business address and your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR), or other evidence we reasonably ask for. If you’re VAT-registered, please also give us your VAT number. Please tell us if any of these change.

3. How the Agreement starts

3.1 We send you an Order Confirmation. The Agreement starts when you accept it — by replying “I accept”, signing it, or making your first payment, whichever happens first.

3.2 Your Start Date is shown in the Order Confirmation. Monthly fees are payable from the Start Date, including while we build your Website.

4. What we do

4.1 We provide the Services in your Plan (Schedule 1) and any Extras you order. Every Plan includes:

  • design and build of the Website on our WordPress platform;
  • registration and renewal of one .co.uk domain, or connection of a domain you already own;
  • hosting in a UK data centre, with an SSL certificate;
  • updates to WordPress, our theme and any plugins, and security monitoring;
  • daily backups;
  • an enquiry form, with enquiries also stored securely on the Website;
  • a cookie banner and Privacy, Cookie and Terms of Use pages based on our templates;
  • set-up of Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and a check of your Google Business Profile;
  • email mailboxes on your domain (the number depends on your Plan);
  • a quality check against our pre-launch checklist;
  • monthly edit time (the amount depends on your Plan).

4.2 We’ll provide the Services with reasonable skill and care.

4.3 We may use trusted subcontractors and service providers, such as our hosting provider. We remain responsible for the Services.

4.4 Website client benefits. While the Agreement is in force, you get 20% off our Tech Help one-off services. On Standard and Pro, your Plan also includes one free Security check-up of one computer from our Tech Help service, to be used within 3 months of the Start Date. It’s provided under our Tech Help Terms, has no cash value and can’t be transferred.

5. Building and launching your Website

5.1 After you accept, we’ll ask for what we need: your business details, services, photos, logo, reviews and accreditations, and — on Start — your text. On Standard and Pro, we write the text from your notes, voice messages or a short call.

5.2 We aim to launch within the times in Schedule 1, counted from when we have everything we need from you (and, on Pro, your approval of the design). These are targets, not guarantees.

5.3 Before launch, we’ll send you a preview link. Please check it carefully, especially facts such as prices, phone numbers, qualifications and claims about your business. We launch when you approve it. If we haven’t heard from you after 5 Working Days, we’ll send a reminder. If there’s still no reply 10 Working Days after we sent the preview, we may treat the Website as approved, launch it and make any corrections afterwards as edits. Launching without your reply doesn’t mean you’ve agreed to any Extras or other paid work.

5.4 If we don’t receive what we need within 30 days of the Start Date, we may launch a simpler version using the information we have, so that you have a working website. Delays on your side don’t change your fees or your Minimum Term.

5.5 If, for reasons on our side, we haven’t launched the Website within 30 days of having everything we need from you, we’ll credit you one month’s fee.

6. Your Content and your responsibilities

6.1 You’re responsible for Your Content and confirm that:

(a) you own it or have permission to use it on the Website;

(b) it’s accurate and not misleading, including prices, qualifications, guarantees and claims about your work;

(c) it doesn’t break any law or infringe anyone’s rights.

6.2 Reviews. You’ll only give us genuine reviews from real customers, and you’ll tell us if a review was given in return for a discount, gift or other incentive. We won’t write or invent reviews or change their meaning. We may refuse to publish any review we believe could break consumer protection law, including the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

6.3 Accreditations and client logos. You’ll only ask us to show accreditations, memberships or certificates you currently hold, and logos of clients who’ve given you permission. Tell us promptly if any of them lapses or permission is withdrawn, and we’ll remove it.

6.4 Legal pages. We provide Privacy, Cookie and Terms of Use pages based on our templates and the details you give us. They’re a starting point, not legal advice. You’re responsible for checking that they reflect how your business actually works, and for your own legal compliance.

6.5 You’ll reply to our questions and approval requests within a reasonable time. Delays on your side may delay the Services.

6.6 We may remove or refuse content we reasonably believe is unlawful, infringes someone’s rights, or could harm the Website, our other customers or us. We’ll tell you why.

6.7 If you have a login to the Website, you’ll keep it secure and tell us promptly about any unauthorised access.

7. Edits and support

7.1 Each Plan includes monthly edit time (Schedule 1). Edit time covers changes to the existing Website, for example:

  • updating text, photos, prices, opening hours and contact details;
  • adding reviews, projects, FAQs, services, team members and accreditations;
  • small layout changes within existing sections;
  • adding a page within your Plan’s page limit.

7.2 Not covered by edit time, and quoted separately: pages beyond your Plan’s limit, redesigns, new features or integrations, substantial new copywriting such as blog articles, and fixing problems caused by changes made by you or someone else.

7.3 Edit time is the time we spend on your request: understanding it, preparing materials (for example, resizing photos), making the change and checking the result. Short emails to clarify a request don’t count. We count edit time in 15-minute blocks. Unused time doesn’t carry over to the next month. Time above your allowance is charged at the rate in Schedule 1, and we’ll tell you before you go over.

7.4 Send requests by email to support@milkfirst.co.uk. We reply within the response times in Schedule 1.

7.5 Urgent edits within 2 Working Hours are available for the fee in Schedule 1.

7.6 We manage the Website for you. If you’d like your own login to make changes, we can set one up. You’re responsible for changes you make, and fixing them uses edit time.

7.7 Our mistakes. If something on the Website is wrong because of a mistake on our side, we’ll fix it free of charge, and it won’t use your edit time.

8. Domain, hosting, email and backups

8.1 Domain. We register a new domain with your business as the registrant, so it belongs to you. We renew it while the Agreement is in force. If you already own a domain, you can keep it with your current provider and point it to us, or transfer it to us at no charge.

8.2 Hosting. The Website is hosted by our hosting provider in a UK data centre. We aim to keep it available at all times, but can’t guarantee uninterrupted service: there may be maintenance, or outages outside our control. We’ll fix problems on our side as quickly as we reasonably can.

8.3 Updates and security. We keep WordPress, our theme and any plugins up to date and take reasonable security measures. No website can be made completely secure.

8.4 Backups. We back up the Website daily and keep backups for at least 14 days. If something goes wrong on our side, we’ll restore the Website free of charge. Restores needed because of changes made by you or your staff use edit time.

8.5 Email. Mailboxes are for normal day-to-day business email, with up to 2 GB of storage each. If you need more space, you can add another mailbox, or we can set up a larger mailbox on a dedicated email service for an extra monthly fee (Schedule 1). Email hosting isn’t an archive or backup service, so keep your own copies of important emails. To keep the service fast and backed up, messages in Spam and Trash folders are deleted automatically after 30 days.

8.6 Email restrictions. Mailboxes share sending infrastructure with other customers, so one misused mailbox can get everyone’s email blocked. You must not use them for:

(a) bulk email, newsletters or marketing campaigns — use a dedicated service such as Mailchimp;

(b) unsolicited emails to people or businesses who haven’t agreed to hear from you, including purchased lists;

(c) anything unlawful.

If we suspect a mailbox has been compromised or is sending spam, we may suspend it immediately. We’ll tell you straight away and restore it once it’s secure.

8.7 Third-party services. Parts of the Services depend on third parties, such as Google (Analytics, Search Console, Business Profile, Maps), review platforms and our hosting provider. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we’re not responsible for their availability, changes or decisions. Where possible, we set them up in your own accounts.

8.8 No guaranteed results. We build websites to be fast, clear and search-friendly, but we can’t guarantee search rankings, traffic or enquiries.

9. Fees and payment

9.1 Your fees are set out in your Order Confirmation. Our standard prices at the date of these terms are in Schedule 1.

9.2 Monthly fees are charged in advance on the Start Date and on the same day of each following month. If you prepay annually, we charge once a year. One-off fees (Setup Fee, Design Fee, logo design and other Extras) are charged when you order them and paid before we start (clause 10.2). We send you an invoice or receipt for every payment.

9.3 Payments by Direct Debit or card are collected on the date they’re due. Other invoices are due within 7 days of the invoice date.

9.4 How to pay. We take payments through our payment provider, Stripe.

(a) Monthly and annual fees are paid by Direct Debit or by card. You set this up once, through the secure payment link we send with your Order Confirmation, and payments are then collected automatically. Before each Direct Debit, you’ll get an email telling you the amount and the date. Direct Debits are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.

(b) One-off fees are paid by card through a payment link, or by bank transfer to the account shown on the invoice.

(c) If neither works for you, we may agree another way to pay, such as a standing order. If your fee changes, you’ll need to update your standing order yourself.

(d) If a payment fails, we’ll let you know and try again, or ask you to pay another way. Clause 12 applies from the date the payment was due. If your card or bank details change, ask us for a link to update them.

9.5 VAT. Milk First Studio Ltd is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. If we register for VAT, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before we start adding it to your fees. Adding VAT isn’t a price increase for the purposes of clause 11.

9.6 Annual prepayment. On Start and Standard, if you prepay for a year, you pay 11 monthly fees for 12 months of service. Annual prepayment isn’t available on Pro or on the No Minimum Term option.

9.7 Fees aren’t refundable, except where these terms say otherwise.

10. One-off services and extra work

10.1 One-off services are work we do once, outside your monthly fee: the Setup Fee and Design Fee, logo design, brand guides, extra pages, blog articles and any other work we quote for.

10.2 Paid upfront. We start a one-off service once its invoice has been paid in full. On Pro, we start the individual design once the Design Fee has been paid.

10.3 Agreed scope. Each one-off service is defined by its description in Schedule 1 or by our written quote. Before doing anything beyond the agreed scope — or any work not covered by your edit time (clause 7.2) — we’ll tell you the price and timing, and we’ll only go ahead once you’ve agreed in writing. Email is fine.

10.4 Logo changes. Logo design includes the number of rounds of changes shown in Schedule 1. A round is one list of changes sent to us at once. Further rounds are charged as additional edit time.

10.5 If we don’t hear from you. If a one-off service is waiting for your reply and we don’t hear from you for 30 days after a reminder, we may close it. You can reopen it within 3 months without paying again; after that, we’ll quote to restart it.

10.6 Refunds for one-off services.

(a) If you cancel before we start, we’ll refund the fee in full.

(b) If what we deliver doesn’t match what we agreed, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we’ll put it right free of charge.

(c) If we can’t put it right, or can’t complete the service for reasons on our side, we’ll refund the fee for the part we haven’t delivered.

(d) Otherwise, once work has started, one-off fees aren’t refundable.

11. Price changes

11.1 Your monthly fee is fixed for the first 12 months from the Start Date.

11.2 After that, we may increase it no more than once in any 12-month period, and by no more than the annual rate of CPI inflation published by the Office for National Statistics for the latest month available when we give notice. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email.

11.3 The price of a period you’ve already prepaid won’t change.

11.4 Founding Clients. If your Order Confirmation says you’re a Founding Client, your monthly fee is fixed for 24 months from the Start Date, on any Plan. If you change Plan, the 24-month period still runs from your original Start Date.

11.5 Prices of Extras may change at any time, but not for Extras you’ve already ordered.

12. Late payment and suspension

12.1 If an invoice isn’t paid on time, we’ll send a reminder 7 days after the due date and a written warning 14 days after the due date.

12.2 If it’s still unpaid 30 days after the due date, we may suspend the Website and the Services until you pay. We’ll restore them within 1 Working Day of receiving payment. Fees continue to be due during suspension.

12.3 We may claim statutory interest and fixed compensation for late payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

12.4 If an invoice is still unpaid 60 days after the due date, we may end the Agreement under clause 13.7.

13. Term, cancellation and changing Plan

13.1 The Agreement runs from the Start Date. After the Minimum Term, it continues month to month until you or we end it.

13.2 Cancelling after the Minimum Term. You can cancel at any time by giving at least 30 days’ notice by email. The Agreement ends 30 days after we receive your notice, or later if you ask. We’ll invoice the last part-month pro rata. If you’ve prepaid annually, the Agreement ends at the end of the prepaid year, unless you ask for it to end sooner (without a refund for the rest of that year).

13.3 No Minimum Term option. On Start and Standard, you can pay a one-off Setup Fee instead of agreeing to a Minimum Term. You can then cancel at any time under clause 13.2.

13.4 Ending early during the Minimum Term. You can end the Agreement during the Minimum Term by giving notice by email and paying an Early Exit Fee: the monthly fees for the rest of the Minimum Term, capped at three months’ fees in total. The cap includes your notice period — the Website stays live for 30 days after your notice, and that time is covered by the Early Exit Fee. If fewer than 30 days of the Minimum Term remain, clause 13.2 applies instead. If you’ve already prepaid for the rest of your Minimum Term, no Early Exit Fee is payable, and the prepaid fees aren’t refunded.

13.5 Changing Plan. You can move to a higher Plan at any time; the new fee applies from your next invoice. Moving to Pro requires paying the Design Fee. You can move to a lower Plan once your Minimum Term has ended. Features not included in the lower Plan, such as extra pages, area pages or mailboxes, will be removed or charged as Extras.

13.6 Ending by us. After the Minimum Term, we can end the Agreement for any reason by giving you at least 60 days’ notice. If you’ve prepaid, we’ll refund the unused part.

13.7 Ending for a serious problem. Either of us can end the Agreement immediately by written notice if the other:

(a) seriously breaks the Agreement and doesn’t put it right within 14 days of being asked to; or

(b) becomes insolvent, enters administration or liquidation, or stops trading.

We can also end it if an invoice is still unpaid 60 days after its due date. If we end the Agreement during the Minimum Term because of your breach or non-payment, the Early Exit Fee is payable. If you end it because of our breach, no Early Exit Fee is payable, and we’ll refund any fees you’ve paid for the period after the end date.

14. When the Agreement ends

14.1 Your exit pack. When the Agreement ends, for whatever reason, we’ll give you free of charge:

(a) a full copy of the Website — WordPress files and database — that you can install with another provider;

(b) your content: text, images, logo files and the enquiries stored on the Website;

(c) a transfer of your domain to the provider you choose.

14.2 We’ll provide the exit pack within 10 Working Days of the end date, or of your request if later. We’ll transfer your domain whatever the state of your account, because it’s yours. We’ll provide the copy of the Website once all invoices due have been paid. Installing it with another provider is up to you or your new provider; we can help for a quoted fee.

14.3 Email. Mailboxes work until the end date. Please move or export your emails before then. We can help as part of your edit time or for a quoted fee.

14.4 Within 30 days after the end date, we’ll take the Website offline and delete it, your mailboxes and the data we hold for you, except what we must keep by law, such as invoices. Backups are overwritten within a further 30 days.

14.5 Clauses that by their nature should continue after the Agreement ends — including fees owed, licences, confidentiality, liability and data protection — will do so.

15. Intellectual property

15.1 Your Content stays yours. You give us a licence to use it to provide the Services during the Agreement, and to prepare your exit pack.

15.2 Text we write for you. We assign to you the copyright in text we write specifically for your Website, from when it’s published on the Website. We’ll sign any document reasonably needed to confirm this.

15.3 Logos we design. Once you’ve paid the logo fee in full, we assign to you the copyright in the final logo design we deliver (not in concepts you didn’t choose). We’ll sign any document reasonably needed to confirm this.

15.4 Our platform. Our base theme, child themes, designs, templates, code and know-how (“Our Platform“) belong to us or our licensors.

(a) The PHP code of our WordPress themes is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, like WordPress itself.

(b) Everything else in Our Platform that’s part of the Website — design, CSS, JavaScript, images and documentation — is licensed to you on a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free basis for use on one website for your business, including after the Agreement ends. You may not use it for other websites or resell it.

(c) Fonts and icons included in Our Platform are under their own open licences (SIL Open Font License 1.1 and MIT).

(d) On Pro, we won’t reuse your individual design as a whole for another client.

15.5 Third-party materials. Stock images and other licensed materials we add to the Website are licensed for use on the Website only.

15.6 Credit link. We may include a small “Website by Milk First” credit link in the Website footer. On Pro, we’ll remove it if you ask.

15.7 Portfolio. We may show your Website (screenshots and a link) and your business name in our portfolio and marketing. Tell us if you’d rather we didn’t, and we’ll stop.

16. Data protection

16.1 Each of us will comply with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

16.2 For personal data on the Website and in your mailboxes — such as enquiries from your visitors — you’re the controller and we’re your processor. Schedule 2 sets out how we handle it.

16.3 We handle personal data about you and your staff, such as contact and billing details, as a controller, as described in our privacy notice at milkfirst.co.uk/privacy.

17. Confidentiality

17.1 Each of us will keep the other’s confidential information secret and use it only for the Agreement. Confidential information means anything marked as confidential or obviously confidential, such as logins, agreed prices and business plans.

17.2 Either of us may share confidential information with our own staff, subcontractors and service providers (such as our hosting provider) who need it for the Agreement and are bound by confidentiality obligations at least as strict as these.

17.3 This clause doesn’t apply to information that’s already public (other than through a breach of this clause), or that must be disclosed by law.

17.4 This clause continues for 2 years after the Agreement ends; for logins and personal data, it continues indefinitely.

18. Liability

18.1 Nothing in the Agreement limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can’t be limited or excluded by law.

18.2 Subject to clause 18.1, we’re not liable for any loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts or goodwill; loss or corruption of data (other than our obligation to restore from backups under clause 8.4); or any indirect or consequential loss.

18.3 Subject to clause 18.1, our total liability under or in connection with the Agreement — whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise — is limited to the total fees you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

18.4 We’re not responsible for problems caused by Your Content, by changes made to the Website by you or third parties, by third-party services (clause 8.7), or by events outside our control (clause 19).

18.5 You’ll compensate us for reasonable losses and costs we incur because of a third-party claim that Your Content infringes their rights or breaks the law.

19. Events outside our control

19.1 Neither of us is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control — for example, major failures of hosting, internet or power; cyber attacks we couldn’t reasonably have prevented; natural disasters; or government action.

19.2 The affected party will tell the other promptly and do what it reasonably can to limit the impact.

19.3 If such an event stops the Services for more than 30 days, either of us may end the Agreement without an Early Exit Fee.

20. Changes to these terms

20.1 We may update these terms. We’ll email you at least 30 days before changes take effect.

20.2 If a change significantly disadvantages you, you can end the Agreement before it takes effect, without an Early Exit Fee.

20.3 Changes required by law or by a regulator may take effect sooner where necessary.

21. General

21.1 Notices. We’ll send notices to the email address in your Order Confirmation (or a new one you give us). Send yours to hello@milkfirst.co.uk. An email is treated as received when sent, or on the next Working Day if sent outside Working Hours, unless the sender gets a delivery failure message.

21.2 Entire agreement. The Agreement is the whole agreement between us about the Services and replaces anything discussed before. Neither of us relies on any statement not set out in it. This doesn’t limit liability for fraud.

21.3 Transfer. You may not transfer the Agreement without our written consent, which we won’t unreasonably refuse — for example, if you sell your business. We may transfer it to a business that takes over our services; we’ll tell you, and your rights won’t be reduced.

21.4 Third parties. No one else has rights under the Agreement, and the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 doesn’t apply.

21.5 Severance. If a court decides any part of the Agreement is invalid, the rest stays in force.

21.6 No waiver. If we or you don’t enforce a right straight away, it can still be enforced later.

21.7 Disputes. If there’s a problem, please tell us first; we’ll try to resolve it within 14 days.

21.8 Law and courts. The Agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

(a) process personal data only on your documented instructions — the Agreement and your written requests — unless the law requires otherwise, in which case we’ll tell you first unless the law forbids it; we’ll tell you if we think an instruction breaks data protection law;

(b) make sure everyone authorised to process the data is bound by confidentiality;

(c) take appropriate technical and organisational security measures under Article 32 of the UK GDPR, including HTTPS, up-to-date software, strong passwords and two-factor authentication on admin accounts, access limited to those who need it, daily backups, spam protection on forms, and automatic deletion of enquiries stored on the Website after 12 months unless you ask for a different period;

(d) use sub-processors only in line with section 3;

(e) help you, taking into account the nature of the processing, to respond to requests from people exercising their data protection rights;

(f) help you meet your obligations on security, personal data breaches, data protection impact assessments and prior consultation with the ICO;

(g) tell you without undue delay, and in any case within 48 hours of becoming aware, about any personal data breach affecting your data, with the information you reasonably need;

(h) when the Agreement ends, return your data in the exit pack (clause 14.1) and delete it under clause 14.4, unless the law requires us to keep it;

(i) give you the information you reasonably need to show that these obligations are met, and allow audits by you or an auditor you appoint, on reasonable notice, at your cost, no more than once a year unless there has been a breach.

3. Sub-processors

3.1 You give general authorisation for us to use sub-processors. Our current sub-processor is Namecheap, Inc. — web hosting, email and backups, with data stored in a UK data centre.

3.2 We’ll tell you at least 30 days before we add or replace a sub-processor. You may object on reasonable data protection grounds; if we can’t resolve your objection, you can end the Agreement without an Early Exit Fee.

3.3 We’ll put data protection obligations equivalent to this Schedule on every sub-processor and remain responsible for their work.

4. Where data is held

Your data is stored in the UK. Our own team may access it remotely from outside the UK to provide the Services; when they do, the data stays under our control and the UK GDPR continues to apply. We won’t transfer your personal data to a separate organisation outside the UK unless the transfer complies with UK data protection law, for example under adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

5. Your obligations

You’re responsible for having a lawful basis for the processing, for making sure your instructions are lawful, and for your privacy notice being accurate (we provide a template under clause 6.4).
